You can put faith in God, or you can put faith in the “dark side.” You decide daily who you walk for. When we pray it’s important to think ahead of time what we are praying for. Make sure what you are asking for is from a love perspective. Why? We are all God’s creation and He loves us all and He is always loving and seeking His lost sheep. This may be a shocker to some but this is truth. When God was crucified on the cross He was also crucified for the pedophile, the prostitute, and the criminal. At the moment of the crucifixion, the criminal next to Him noticed the injustice of what Jesus went through without deserving it, He was moved to defend Him. Jesus moved the heart of a criminal on the cross, by believing in Him and because His heart had mercy for our savior, Jesus told Him that they would be together in paradise when all their process was over. Jesus is just waiting for us to believe in Him. Jesus is waiting for us to understand His goodness, His love, His sacrifice, and His plan for our present and our future. It’s important to understand the sin crucified in His flesh.
“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance,more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow!” (John 10:10 TPT)
Thank you, Jesus for the truth of your word. God you are teaching us the truth that we need to understand to live in freedom. The truth is to live for others (overflow) and not for ourselves. We have to live in the fullness of God, understanding who God is and what He came here to do. “And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:16
I pray this prayer in Ephesians 3: 14-19 expressed by the apostle Paul over our lives now… “For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
To realize the truth of your potential is freedom from the lies of this world. The devil wants you to believe He has power over the God of the universe influencing your life, that is His calling. His deception goes way beyond what we could imagine. “…He is a master of deception and the father of lies!” (John 8:44 TPT) The devil is under the dominion of God. Whatever happens good or bad God permits. To live a long life and have salvation (not saying free of difficulty) we have to say every day to God that we trust Him, this takes you to His secret place (peace that surpasses all understanding awaits you there) and he will take away your fear, anxiety, depression, insecurity, and all illnesses. All these promises are in Psalm 91. Again to receive the promises of God we have to meditate on His words in the Holy Bible, written by men that love and believe in the Lord.
Satan wanted the power of God from the beginning. Satan planted a thought in Eve’s mind that gave fruit to disobedience. Careful who you listen to. Remember good or evil travels by the power of thoughts and words. Satan was expelled from heaven, so He did not want man to live on earth having a fruitful relationship with God. Satan lost his privileges in heaven and did not want anyone to have anything he could not have. God sent the devil to earth and created us to torment the devil by creating billions of people in His own image. If you submit to God, the devil runs. “So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you.” (James 4: 7 TPT) The key is to live a life surrendered to God. We choose if we want to be living for our own wants or we choose to live a life of service to God by putting others as a priority. Daily we choose if we live for ourselves or we live to bless other people along the way. May God help you make the right choice daily. Prayer is key to knowing God. Prayer is to talk to God. Start today.
There is a spiritual battle that we are part of whether we wish to be part of it or not. The battle comes from the power over your mind, thoughts, and your words. The devil wants to ruin God’s creation since Eden. His calling is to ruin your life. We will not experience unhealthy fear when we submit to God. God wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him throughout our day. How can we do this? We have to build the WILL to want to read His word, speak to Him (prayer), and praise Him. God wants to be part of our daily tasks. Speak or sing to God while you cook, clean, drive, study, work, etc. These “simple acts” of obedience bring you to his secret place. The promise in Psalm 91:4 says: “He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

Father, Abba, thank you for your love. We thank you for your truth that sets us free. Lord please reveal more truth to our hearts and remove all the things that have damaged them in any way. Lord thank you for changing our lives to live by your word and your guidance. Lord I thank you that only by asking for wisdom you give it to us. Thank you, Lord, for the truth of your salvation. Thank you for renewing our strength and our understanding that your ways are way better than our ways even when they seem like deep water and storms. Lord we trust you in the midst of these trouble waters knowing you set us in the course you know is truth for us.
